Terms and Conditions related to Spring Break Housing

Goucher’s residence halls close at for Spring Break at 10pm on Friday March 15, 2013 and reopen on Sunday March 24, 2013 at 9am.  Only students who have received prior authorization from the Office of Community Living will be allowed to remain on campus during this period.

Students who are approved will remain in their academic year room assignment during the break period. Having the privilege of staying in your own room during the break period carries some additional responsibilities.

There will be reduced staffing in the Office of Community Living  during this time; therefore, you need to be especially vigilant in following the same safety guidelines that you do during the regular academic semester (please refer to the residence life calendar and handbook for more details).

Please be cognizant of your surroundings, and report any concerns to the Office of Community Living  or the Office of Public Safety immediately.

    Please note the following:
    • Your OneCard will only allow you access to your house and the public area of Mary Fisher Hall (post office, ATM machine area).
    • No overnight guests may be hosted in rooms during the break, including other Goucher students not approved to stay on campus during the break.
    • All college policies and procedures remain in effect during the break.  Any violation of the Student Code of Conduct will result in immediate removal from campus until the residence halls re-open.
    • There may be interruptions and noise disturbances during the break, as the facilities management staff uses break periods to make necessary repairs.
    • You are only permitted to live on campus during your pre-approved dates.
    • There will be no meal service during Spring Break. Students will need to acquire their own meals. Meal plans do not work during break periods.
