    Request to Live Off Campus: Release from On Campus Requirement

     Requests will be reviewed by a committee and approved/denied based on several criteria including reason, class standing, and the order received. Students not approved initially will be placed on a waiting list and will need to participate in Room Draw. Students that have been approved to live off campus will not participate in Room Draw. Those approved to live off-campus forfeit eligibility to participate in room draw for subsequent years.  
    Decisions will be made on a rolling basis until May 1, 2012.  
    Students should not sign leases for off-campus housing until they have received permission to live off campus from the College.

    I understand and agree to the following conditions: 
    • If approved, re-admission to the residence halls for subsequent semesters or academic years only will be provided on a space-available basis. 
    • The student should consider all fees and financial obligations prior to submitting an application.  If financial aid is a consideration, the student should confer with staff in Financial Aid and investigate how his/her individual package will be impacted prior to applying.
    • The college assumes no responsibility for securing or supervising the housing, or for storing personal belongings, once residency has ceased at the closing of the residence halls.
    • The college assumes no responsibility for the personal welfare of the student off-campus.  However, the college would make every effort to assist in an emergency.
    • Once approved, the student will pay the fees of a commuting student.  If the student is not approved for off-campus residency, she/he will be responsible for all fees associated with on-campus residency, including room and board.
