Medical Housing

A student who believes that he/she has a medical need for a particular room assignment must have medical documentation on file with the college. This packet must be filled out by the student's health care practitioner for the student to be considered for a medical exception. Depending on the nature of the student's situation, documentation should be submitted to the Student Health and Counseling Services (for medical or psychiatric issues) or to Dr. Frona Brown (for documented learning disabilities). These offices will make a decision as to whether special housing accommodations should be offered.

Medical assignments must be approved each year. Returning students should pay careful attention to the housing information distributed each spring regarding the assignment process and deadlines for requests. Individuals who make late or new requests after the published deadlines will be placed on a special medical wait list and will be assigned when and if space becomes available.

Applications for the 2013-2014 academic year are due to the Health and Counseling Center (medical/psychiatric) or to Dr. Frona Brown (documented learning disabilities) by June 28, 2013 at 4pm for priority placement. Applications that are submitted after this date will be reviewed and students will be housed on a space available basis. The medical housing application can be downloaded below.
